Pastor Rusty and Kathy Woolum
Senior Pastor Pastor Rusty has served as Senior Pastor at Newport City Church of God since 2010. He is a devoted husband to his wife, Kathy, and father to their three children: Nathaniel, Sarah, and Hannah.
Both Pastor Rusty and Kathy have each spent 30+ years serving Newport City in multiple capacities. Since 2004, he has served as the Choir Director, and also as the Minister of Music from 2004-2017. He is known very well across the state and beyond for his music ministry. In 2009, he served one year as Youth Pastor before succeeding his father as Senior Pastor in 2010. He is an Ordained Bishop in the Church of God (Cleveland, TN) and serves on the Kentucky Church of God State Council. His wife, Kathy, has spent over 40 years at Newport City and has a rich history of working diligently and faithfully in the church, being a servant wherever she is needed. Pastor Rusty and Kathy, along with his family, are committed to seeing the plan and vision that God has for His church to come to pass. |
